From our workshop we lovingly handcraft functional, fitted and free-standing furniture using the highest quality materials ranging from solid hardwoods to exotic veneers. Not only do we create pieces that fit perfectly into a space but can also, on request, replicate existing surrounding features such as cornice and skirting boards, enabling the new furniture to fully complement the room.
With its peaceful surroundings and amazing view from the workshop door, it is the perfect place to create truly bespoke furniture, custom made by hand to the highest standard.
Our kitchens are as robust as they are beautifully designed and crafted.
The kitchen is the "heart of the home" is a well coined phrase, but it is also the work horse! What good is beauty if it is fleeting?
With traditionally crafted solid hardwood doors and the highest quality lacquered Birch plywood interiors, our bespoke kitchens will far outlive their high-street counterparts and offer originality, flow and pleasure of use that only a handcrafted kitchen made to exacting standards can achieve.
“The kitchen cabinets were of a very high quality with oak dovetailed drawers and beautifully finished real wood interiors.”
All of our furniture is designed and expertly crafted using both time honoured and cutting edge techniques.
Drawing on the expertise of spray finishers and French polishers, we create furniture of the highest quality. Whether it be high end, high value commissions or projects of a more practical nature we always consider the fine balance of available space, practical storage and aesthetics.
“The design and execution were first class; we now have a beautiful piece of furniture, which blends perfectly with its surroundings.”
Truly bespoke is the only way to describe our furniture and process as a whole.
Each piece is meticulously designed, crafted and finely honed in order to meet the client’s needs and exceed their expectations.
This is the cornerstone of our reputation and will continue to define our ethos for years to come.
Contact“We liked dealing with someone who really listened to what we wanted and really cared about their craft.”
“We are very proud of some of our more subtle design elements that aren’t always instantly apparent, but can reveal themselves over time.”
There is no one-size-fits-all method to how we work.
Luxury Home Office
Made from solid walnut and brown oak burr veneer, this piece was a very exciting commission, drawing on many advanced techniques and extensive design work.
The various curved aspects of this piece consisted of as many as 16 different radiuses, all of which required custom-made moulds for bending the components to the required shape.
The two sections of cornice that sit on the upper cabinets were very unique in design and construction; using a process known as stack lamination, they were made by jointing as many as 112 separate pieces of wood, resulting in one very strong and solid structure which sweeps with the curve of the cabinets.
1940s/50s inspired kitchen
Being asked to design and create a vintage-themed kitchen isn’t something that happens very often and certainly got the creative juices flowing.
A melting pot of iconic and nostalgic elements such as a dome-fronted bread bin, a jelly mould and milkshake glasses were all thrown into the mix, along with an element of fine furniture not seen in the original pieces. The kitchen was featured in Vintage Life magazine and we were asked to write an article on the inspirations behind the design.
FRANCESCA MAFFEO GALLERY
This large mid-century modern inspired piece was a commission for a photographic gallery local to the workshop.
The legs and supporting frame were made from solid oak whilst the main structure was veneered in quarter cut American oak. The veneer was hand picked for its straight and slightly figured grain, which gave the whole piece a streamlined and uncluttered appearance.
